Would you like to travel from New York to Paris in under an hour? SpaceX is working on it. Part of its mission to create hypersonic Earth travel, as well as sending more people to the Moon and Mars, the space company is looking to hire Offshore Operations Engineers out of Brownsville, Texas.

The plan is to build spaceports to launch SpaceX's superheavy rockets up into the air.

On top of super-fast Earth travel, it's no new news that the space company is also looking to keep sending people and astronauts to the Moon and Mars.

In order to do so, SpaceX is looking to build floating spaceports that will end up being launch sites for these Super Heavy-class launch vehicles.

Elon Musk, SpaceX CEO and founder, posted the job ad on Twitter on Tuesday.

At the moment, the entire project is still in its concept stages, however, this job ad is proof that it's well and truly pushing forward.

SpaceX is looking to use its Super Heavy rocket booster combined with its Starship spacecraft to carry out these missions. Primarily developed to send astronauts and potential future relocators to Mars, Super Heavy and Starship are being worked on to help "make humans an interstellar species."

There will be many test flights before commercial passengers are carried. First Earth to Earth test flights might be in 2 or 3 years.

SpaceX's point-to-point space-based travel would bring Earth travel to a whole new level. By flying to the edge, or just beyond, Earth's atmosphere, the cost of refueling, and the duration of the flight would be greatly minimized.

The Starship spacecraft has been developed in Brownsville, Texas, which is where the job posting would be. Not much more information has been provided by Musk or the company, aside from responding to someone's Twitter post by saying "referb[ushing] oil platforms with a hyperloop to transport from land" was "pretty much" part of the plan.

SpaceX rarely lies still, earlier this month the company launched 60 Starlink satellitesup into low-Earth orbit, all part of its plan to provide affordable Internet to hard-to-reach areas around the world.
